Each bag of MARTIAN ROCKS contains caramelized macadamia nut turrons covered with semi-dark tempered 53% cocoa chocolate. Farming: It begins at the plantations with excellent fertilization, every day hand-labor and biological pest controls. We monitor aflatoxins in the field, heavy metals and nutrients in our soils. The water used to clean and wash the macadamia kernel is potable spring water from the high mountains of the Andes. The cocoa also come from fine cocoa varietals in Colombia. Production process: Macadamia in-shell is cracked, selected, washed, dried and selected again for a 2-step quality inspection process to ensure the best quality nuts. Then is caramelized and each piece is covered individually with tempered cocoa. Differentiation: Our products are not roasted, they are dehydrated, plus all of the nuts are fully washed and separated into high and low oil macadamia nuts. Only high-oil macadamia nuts are used. The caramel does not have glucose nor additives, only sugar and macadamia, and the cocoa is real chocolate with only 6 ingredients. Has no less than 40% macadamia. Characteristics: High oil content macadamias are chrunchier and sweeter. Its appearance is dark black. They are not rancid. The chunks of chocolate have irregular shape and has the correct size for a single bite. Try them frozen, or unfrozen, either way is quite an experience.
